The Fat Lady Sang

What a night, what a day. My brother and I stayed up watching the results and our friend Dave joined us for a spell. Well...I sorta stayed up. I'd get all full of adrenaline and then nod off...then change positions, then retreat to my room, then emerge when Aaron would shout out results..."Bush got Florida" etc. We had the little map with stickers out of the paper, so we were like little kids with a behavior chart happily/sadly depending... marking off the results. "Too close to call" was always a sigh moment...no stickers can be placed for those. Hmph... I have to say, I am relieved.

I am pleased that Kerry conceded without dragging things out, and pray that the country will reunite. It shouldn't have to take another catastrophe for that, should it...We have to move on. It's also true that this world isn't our eternal home either. As long as we each do our part to operate in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control and remain in prayer for our President and each other ... there is always hope!!! Politics or not be it Bush, Kerry, Arnold or Hilary...(comic relief) God is ultimately in control. Phew.
