Perspective

Another marathon day...we had a goal of 200 new pledges and got 258. It's a good feeling to surpass a goal...now I'll be making pledge books from now til the end of time...

Doing events like this are good for perspective. Getting to hear from people calling in whose lives were touched by a song or something the DJ's said etc. was very encouraging and inspiring. It gives it all perspective for us on the other side of the radio. I know I mentioned yesterday that I like my job...but there are also days that I feel tired, annoyed, broke, and without inspiration. I was reminded today that I am a part of something that is impacting people. One lady mentioned she's been battling Cancer and how much the Praise and Worship show means to her, so many stories...and many thank yous, which is nice to hear once in a while, especially when you are a behind the scenes person.

Now, I will go home and crash while watching American Idol. If there is any sanity left in this country, Jasmine will be voted out.
