good times
So, Saturday was my first cook out of the season. MMMM, burgers. My friends Trish and Linford had a few friends over to play games and have a cook out. What fun. It wasn't too large of a crowd, which was nice. Just enough people to split up into a couple of different games. When we first got there we played Carcassone, which is a tile laying game, kind of like a puzzle. I won. I was in the mood to play some variation of Settlers of Catan, what ended up happening was CRAZY. A few of us ended up playing this game that was a combo of 3 different variations of the game with expansions...in other words...it was a huge board with a lot of details. I played with Linford, Craig and Heidi...3 people who are very good at the game. The game lasted between 2 1/2 - 3 hours if you include set up time. It was a really close game and when we got closer to the end Craig and I were neck and neck. At one point, I was in a building frenzy and Linford and Craig thought I had won, and were trying to help me figure out the coolest way to win.. it was very funny, because Karen was shouting in the background, "Let her win on her own!" (which I agreed with. they were making me crazy) but I still was a couple points shy...then by the next round...I won. I was very excited. I even took a picture of the board. I've never seen such a monstrosity. You'd think we would have been Settler'd out, but after Craig and Heidi had left, Karen, Trish, Linford and I played one more game of regular Settlers (the board looked so tiny) Linford won. It was a fun, relaxing day. Yesterday was good, too...after church I took a nap, went for a walk in my neighborhood and just vegged out, pretty much. Now, it's a new week. A pay week, which is a very good thing. Yippee.

hhhhhmmmmmmm it seems to me you've been on a winning streak, you won most of the games at my house, now you go to trish and linfords and win games, it was nice you let linford win one to end the night, but have more mercy on us please!!!!!!!
