I'm not this much of a clutz... or am I?
Ok, so I've been going crazy in preparation for a visit from Robin, on top of the regular Christmas preparations and general office craziness. I mean this all in a good way. I love it. Except possibly the work part, but everything else is just part of the fun of the year. It's a little overwhelming at times, but it's all good. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. So... anyhoo... last night, I went to KMart to buy an abundance of gift boxes and bags, ribbons and tags, and I was loaded down with packages as I left. I may have been a bit distracted because the nice teenager at the counter was sweet enough to say, as I left, "Have a nice evening, MA'AM." Ouch. I'm not a ma'am. I'm not that old yet. I know it can be a term of respect, but it didn't sound that way. It's like he was rubbing it in... This was all probably going through my head as I made my way to the car, packages overflowing out of my arms. Luckily, I have the little auto-door unlocker thingy, and I had the door of my car unlocked as I approached. But here's the fun part, as I was getting into the car, I smacked my self in the left side of my head with the corner of a giftbox, and I jerked my head away and smacked it against the frame of the car. Ouch. No, really. Ouch. I sat in my car for a few minutes, just holding my head in my hands, to make sure it wasn't going to fall off. For the record, it didn't. Whew. It hurt. A lot. Today, my neck is a little sore and I have a headache. Serves me right. Christmas shopping and everything. Go figure. But I'm really not that much of a clutz... I don't think.

I think it has to do with the coming visit. Not clumsy...just preoccupied.
