September!!
I am so happy that it is September! I was just ruminating on the idea of September. Festivals are over...Fall is just around the corner, which means Oscar season is not far off, which means some kick butt movies. Although I must pause to say all life does not revolve around movies. For some reason today, I just feel good. I felt lousy yesterday. Bummed, icky, dark, morose, lugubrious (only because I really wanted to use that word...what a great word!). But today! The sun is shining! Birds are singing! Cicadas are still making their infernal racket! But it's good! All is well! I don't know what the change is, I really don't. There really isn't one, but the flipping of a calendar. Is it the simple action of turning a page that gives one the possibilities of "what is to come" in the month ahead? I am very much a calendar person, so I had to flip a lot yesterday. Maybe that's what did it. I've also been sleeping a lot better lately, which has been leading me to have some seriously bizarre dreams. Somewhat disturbing dreams. My dream last night was reminiscent of the book 'Prey' by Michael Crichton, if you've ever read it, with the clouds of nano-bots that could kill you. They were attacking me. Dreams do have meaning, I really believe that. There was much talk in the Bible of interpreting dreams. So, what in the world did that mean?! Who knows? I don't. Any input from a Joseph-type dream interpreter would be welcome. Then, there's the days are flying by thing going on. Which is good and bad. I have a lot of things to get caught up on, but with the time going by so quickly, not a lot of time to do it with time going so fast! Again, it's like the time-space continuum is all messed up...in fast forward or something. I would like to press pause and just enjoy this moment, right now. oh, there it went. It's gone. I'm still enjoying the next one though, and the next, and the next. Who knows how long it will last. For the entire Fall, I hope. This is my favorite season. The leaves changing, the cooler weather coming in. I just got my new jacket from L.L. Bean in the mail yesterday. So exciting. I'm ready for the Fall. Anytime now. Bring on the nip in the air, and the hot cocoa. Except the hot cocoa is not South Beach diet friendly. I'm sure I can find some sugar free cocoa that is. Sorry for the James Joyce-type stream of consciousness today. I'm feeling a little bubbly, and streamy. It feels good. I'm running with it. Running...

I saw some changing leaves on my drive back from Manheim, just now. I couldn't believe it!
I like stream of consciousness writing. It moves me.
I'm glad you are feeling bubbly. Cabella's here we come.
Also, what does lugubrious mean? something yucky, huh?

I LOVE Fall- I mean LOVE IT!
The sound of marching bands practicing on the wind- football- flannel- kick boots- layered clothing- cozy hooded sweatshirts- pumpkin desserts- apple anything- Harvest candles from Yankee Candle(you have to get one- or I will for you) leaves cruching- chilly nights- crisp mornings AAAAHHHHHH
