The Neverending Pile aka Job Security

Last night, while watching various cartoons and crime dramas on TV, I spent 5 hours working on Creation Staff input at home. It was encouraging. I felt like I was making some headway. My pile was decreasing, and people were being assigned to their various positions.

Well, today, I came into work, and got another export from the New Jersey office, and another stack of applications on my desk. It's a little discouraging. I feel like I didn't get anything done. It's almost like starting all over again. Sigh.

Oh well. It is a good problem to have. We definitely need the volunteers. Better to have the work to do than not have any staff at the festival. MUCH BETTER. Now I not only have Creation stuff looming, some of my Purple Door responsibilities are looming as well. Job security, my friends. That is what it is. There will always be something to be done here. If not by me, there will be someone to help.

Woo Hoo! Love that job security.
